Yoga in Costa Rica

It has been 18 years since I've been in costa rica- and it did not disappoint!

I flew into San Jose and took the bus to Santa Teresa on the nicoya pennisula. The travel was long, but very easy to do!

I stayed at a new 'yoga friendly' hotel called, Pranamar Villas. Very friendly. Very beautiful. Wonderful food! I did an anusara yoga retreat by Michele Baker. She has a studio in New Orleans. Once a year she comes to Costa Rica on a retreat! It was wonderful! Nancy Goodfellow, whose mother owns pranamar- is the primary yoga teacher here. She has a beautiful Dhaka and gives a kick but yoga class!

I had a wonderful time- if you are looking fir a great vacation place-this is one highly recommend. The beach is magnificient- the wAves are much enjoyed by all.

If you're in the area check it out.

  1. Wow yoga, is the best exercise to get a nice resistance body and soul. Well that's good. But much better if you go in yoga in boracay, because this is unwind places, best relaxing. Boracay is the best ever....

  2. I've been thinking about taking a vacation to Costa Rica for a while now. I take my vacation time in the winter to get away from the cold. One thing I do to relax is yoga. I'm really hoping that I can find a yoga retreat costa rica guess what I'm hoping I don't run into is a lot of places that are rather touristy. I like a normal class that's just everyday people going to it. I was wondering if there's any kind of direction you could point me in. Do you happen to know of any yoga retreat costa rica that you could recommend? I went to www.laescueladelsol.com for suggestions but I'm looking for others as well.
